| About the Artist |
| Eileen is a self-instructed artist. She was born in the Washington D.C. area, and spent most of her childhood in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where her appreciation of art was formed. Eileen's mother and paternal grandmother helped to foster her creativity at a young age, and continued to support her in her endeavors. In her early teens, Eileen returned to the D.C. Metropolitan area and again found cultural nourishment. In her mid-thirties, she moved to the city of Greenbelt, Maryland ('which quite possibly has more artists and poets per capita than Greenwich Village'). Here, she found a supportive community that helped to channel her artistic energy. Eileen uses the medium that best conveys her vision, whether it is painting, fine crafts, poetry or video. She creates to please herself and hopes that the world will enjoy as well. |
